What You Call Your Higher Power Does Matter – To YOU!

The most important relationship in your life, is the one with yourself and your higher power. As humans, our innate nature is to feel whole, complete, and connected to everything. However, through experiences, we often believe we are separated from our essential nature and higher power.

When others insist there’s only one way to address or believe in a higher power, our rebellious human spirit often creates dissent.

You and Your higher power

My mission is to reconnect individuals with themselves and their higher power. When I ask clients what they call it, multiple answers often indicate a lack of intimacy with themselves and their higher power.

To be clear: The name you use only matters to you. Whether it’s Universe, God, Jesus, Mother/Father, Cupcake, or even Bob (as one smiling client called it), the designation is personal.

Reflecting your true beliefs

I suggest using the name you call out when in pain, as it reflects your true belief in your higher power.

Clarifying the title for your higher power is the first step to growing closer to it. This process involves unpacking beliefs, pain, and judgments associated with certain designations. It also allows you to restructure your relationship with your higher power, separating it from experiences with your family of origin.

Intimacy Begins With A Name

Once aligned with the name, you and Bob (Universe, God, Mother/Father, Jesus, etc), can have a deep, meaningful conversation full of trust. The connection also becomes easier. Remember, intimacy can continue to grow if you’re willing.
