The Divine has been talking to me all of my life. The Universe has been using music, art, literature and other humans to show its support and love for me. I didn’t realize how much until the other day driving in my car with the radio scanning. It landed on a Tori Amos song that I hadn’t listened to in years – Silent All These Years!
In 1992, the year that song was released, I was finished with college and trying to find my way in life. When I heard the lyrics all of it came rushing back to me — that feeling as if there was something big inside me waiting to find its voice.
Do you feel like that? That voice is called your Divine Voice. What is your Divine Voice? It is your truth and it is the expression of your Soul essence.
I believe what gave me the courage is understanding (from the lyrics of that song) that I could hear my Divine Voice inside and it wasn’t going anywhere. The statement, if you don’t use it you lose it, isn’t true. Although, since that time, not using it has created struggle in my life and has even caused physical pain.
So how do you access your silent voice? The one that tells you that you have a big mission, that you are full of purpose, the one that may be whispering or screaming.
Let’s start by finding the location of your silent voice. I suggest you try this exercise even if you are expressing your voice. Why? Because we are full of unlimited possibilities, so why place limits on yourself because you’re already doing it. This is a chance for you to go deeper, feel more and live more Soulfully. Of course, it is my suggestion that you only participate in exercises that resonate with you.
Take a deep breath and focus on your tailbone. Ask Divine Intelligence to show you where your silent voice is located. Then ask that part of your body what you get to do to turn that silence into expression.
So for example, my silent voice showed up in my heart. The heart is all about receiving and giving. When I asked what I get to do to turn that silence into expression, I heard: “Ask for what you desire.”
Sometimes you are going to hear and answer or feel something that is going to generate another question for your Soul. Don’t be afraid to ask it. When you are creating a conscious conversation between you and your Soul and when you are speaking with the Divine, it’s a conversation, not a lecture.
How can you put into action or incorporate what you just learned into your daily life? I don’t know your answer but I do know the question to ask.
Take a deep breath and focus on your tailbone. Ask Divine Intelligence to show you how to incorporate this new information of using your Divine Voice in your daily life.
